Last May 15, 2024, the Passionist PDO team, in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture- Bureau of Soils and Water Management (DA-BSWM) headed by Engr. Evangeline F. Dacumos, Supervising Agriculturist, Mr. Rogelio Cuime, WRDO II Region IX, Mr. Naim S. Abdulganie, WRDO I Region XII, and Ms. Hazel E. Cacho, Project Development Officer II, along with the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Office- Biodiversity Management Bureau, represented by Ms. Joy H. Alvarez, Ecosystems Management Specialist II, and Ms. Raquel Cabanada, Information Officer, and the Local Government Unit (LGU) Banga, represented by Mr. Ernesto D. Pan, conducted a comprehensive site inspection and monitoring visit to Sitio Lambusong, Brgy. Lam-apos, Banga, South Cotabato.
Before heading to Sitio Lambusong proper, the team made a courtesy call to the Department of Agriculture, specifically to Mr. John B. Pascual, DVM, Officer in Charge- Regional Technical Director for Operations, Ms. Jocelyn F. Torres, Ph.D., Regional Agricultural Engineering Division (RAED) Chief, Sir Richard M. Dondiego, L. Agri., Municipal Agriculturist of Banga, and Hon. Joel P. Awan, Punong Barangay of Lam-apos.
This initiative focuses on identifying potential areas for livelihood development and locating potable water sources. These efforts are part of the team’s broader strategy to implement sustainable practices to ensure the basic needs of the local community are met. The collaborative approach underscores the commitment of these agencies to foster economic development and improve the quality of life for the residents of Lambusong.
