PADYAK WITH STA. MARIA GORETTI YEAR 3

Last July 4, the St. Paul of the Cross Pastoral Center was filled with faith, fellowship, and excitement as 𝙋𝙖𝙙𝙮𝙖𝙠 𝙬𝙞𝙩𝙝 𝙎𝙩𝙖. 𝙈𝙖𝙧𝙞𝙖 𝙂𝙤𝙧𝙚𝙩𝙩𝙞 𝙔𝙚𝙖𝙧 3 brought together cyclists, families, volunteers, and supporters for another successful celebration of community and mission.

The day began with a solemn Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. John Dave T. Eturma, CP, and concelebrated by Very Rev. Fr. Nazario A. Plaza, CP, together with Rev. Fr. Orven O. Gonzaga, CP, and Rev. Fr. Vicente S. Supranes, CP. Before the celebration concluded, Fr. Orven expressed his heartfelt gratitude to everyone who generously shared their time, talent, and treasure—especially our dedicated Passionist PDFI Volunteers. He also reminded everyone that the proceeds of this year's Padyak will help support the Formation and Vocation Advocacy for our seminarians.

After the Holy Mass, participants officially registered and were warmly welcomed with a comforting bowl of arroz caldo before preparing for the ride. The blessing of the bicycles and cyclists, led by Fr. John Dave, followed, entrusting everyone's safety and journey to God's loving care.

The program continued with inspiring welcome remarks from Fr. Orven, CP, followed by an orientation from Sir Bon Jovi, who carefully explained the race mechanics and safety guidelines to ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience for all.

With helmets secured and excitement in the air, the much-awaited Padyak with Sta. Maria Goretti officially commenced. Twelve (12) race categories featured cyclists of different ages and abilities, all pedaling together not only for competition but also in support of a meaningful cause that will benefit our future Passionist seminarians.

After an exciting day of races, participants enjoyed their packed lunches while Fr. John Dave T. Eturma, CP, shared his heartfelt words of appreciation to everyone who helped make this year's event a remarkable success.

The recognition of the Top 10 finishers in every category was held after each race, celebrating the dedication, perseverance, and sportsmanship of every participant. The program concluded with a heartfelt closing prayer led by Maam Joy Regalado, offering thanks to God for His guidance and countless blessings throughout the day.

Our deepest gratitude goes to Rev. Fr. Jeffty M. Mendez, CP, for graciously providing the venue; to BLGU Lagao for deploying the Traffic Enforcers and Medic Team; to Police Station 3 for ensuring the safety of everyone throughout the event; and to our PPDFI Volunteers, Passionist Youth, generous sponsors, benefactors, and every participant whose support made this event truly meaningful. Your generosity continues to strengthen the mission and ministry of the Passionist Community.
