Padyak With St. Maria Gorretti Year 2

July 5, the St. Paul of the Cross Pastoral Center was filled with excitement and high spirits as Padyak with Sta. Maria Goretti Year 2 successfully took place.

The event began with a Eucharistic Celebration presided over by Rev. Fr. Mark Ian N. Peliño, CP, and concelebrated by Rev. Fr. Orven O. Gonzaga, CP, together with Rev. Renhard De Asis, CP. Before the Mass concluded, Fr. Orven expressed his heartfelt gratitude to all who contributed their time, talent, and treasure especially our Passionist PDO volunteers. Their generous support greatly helps our seminarians, as the proceeds of this year’s Padyak will go toward the Formation and Vocation of Seminarians Advocacy.

After the Mass, the registration officially opened. As the bike enthusiasts lined up to register, they were warmly served with delicious arroz caldo. This was followed by the blessing of the bikes, officiated by Fr. Orven, CP.

Next, Fr. Orven, CP gave his welcome remarks, followed by a lively animation led by the PPDO Volunteers. Sir Joever Mesagrande then provided an orientation, explaining the event’s guidelines and mechanics to ensure a safe and enjoyable ride.

When everything was in place and the bikers had secured their gear, the most exciting part of the program began, the Padyak with Sta. Maria Goretti. Eleven (11) categories were held, bringing together participants of all ages united by one goal: to enjoy, to participate, and to support this meaningful cause.

After all the categories concluded, packed lunches were distributed. This was followed by an acknowledgment speech from Ma’am Mary Joy Beniola, the Lay Ambassadress for the Formation and Vocation of Seminarians Advocacy.

Then came the awarding of the Top 10 winners from each category. The event concluded with a closing prayer led by Ate Irene Grace Espadilla.

Mendez, CP, for the venue; to BLGU Lagao for sending the Traffic Enforcers and Medic Team; to Police Station 3 for ensuring police visibility; and to our PPDO Volunteers, Passionist Youth, Sponsors, and Benefactors, whose unwavering support continues to strengthen the Passionist Community.
