π‘π€πˆπ πŽπ‘ π’π‡πˆππ„β€” these words best describe the mangrove tree-growing activity that took place yesterday, July 18. Despite the rain, the determined and passionate hearts of everyone involved chose to push through and continue the mission.

The Passionist communities from Our Lady of Peace and Good Voyage Parish (OLPGV) PSAC Workers, St. Gabriel of Our Lady of Sorrows Parish (SGOLSP) PSAC Workers, HCP PSAC Workers, Catholic Mission to the Indigenous People (CMIP) Community, Passionist Youth – South Region, and Passionist Technological Institute, Inc. (PTII), in collaboration with TSP Marine Industries and the Protected Area Management Office- Sarangani Bay Protected Seascape (PAMO-SBPS), triumphantly planted 2,000 Avicennia marina (bungalon) mangrove trees as part of the A Thousand Forests Campaign.

Thanks to everyone’s efforts and continued prayers, the newly constructed boardwalk leading to the Passionist-adopted area is now ready for use. Meanwhile, the construction of the Payag is now underway. This is all made possible through the help of the Lower Baluan Fisherfolk Association.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who continues to answer the call to serve.

Together, let’s live life to the fullest: creating unforgettable memories and making a lasting impact on ourselves and our communities.
